Now is the time to look into seminars that are more than the routine, that take your thinking to a new level, and which introduce you to concepts to expand your mind, your thinking and your treatment routine.
Doing the same thing day after day is boring for both you and your patients. It is time to add a new dimension to treatment and expand your horizons to include treatment concepts which are new, updated and provide innovative methods to increase treatment outcomes.
Dragonfly Productions will present seminars for therapists and rehab nurses throughout the country. These seminars will be in areas not previous addressed by the usual continuing education providers. The seminars will be hands on, that is, you will learn the concepts, perform the evaluations, and practice the treatments. Not only that, you will be provided all the tools you need, so that you can walk out of the seminar, return to your clinic and put the new treatment method into practice immediately.
These seminars include:
THE BREATH OF REHAB - where you will learn about the 14 types of dysfunctional breathing patterns, and receive a breathing assessment protocol. You will become proficient in treating breathing disorders from a rehab perspective and have the tools necessary for treatment.
THE SOUND OF REHAB - where you will learn how the use of sound is both good and bad in a clinical setting. You will discover methods to change the soundscape in your clinic to enhance patient (and staff) performance. You will receive an assessment protocol for the patient's current and past sound interactions. You will be given treatment tools and resources for patient treatment, utilizing sound as a component to facilitate optimal functional performance. Listening will also be addressed in this seminar.
THE FAITH OF REHAB- one of the most overlooked aspects of patient care is that of spirituality. During this seminar a number of religious and belief systems will be looked at as they relate to wellness, illness and death. The therapist will be provided with tools which will increase rapport with patients regarding this vital area of their lives.
THE PAIN AND JOY OF REHAB- during this seminar you will learn that pain is a gift, and that there can be joy in all areas of illness. Pain will be explored as a necessary part of rehab, and joy will be explored as an adjunct to the entire treatment regime. Assessment protocols will be provided as well as treatment planning.
THE EIGHT "A's" is a seminar designed to look at the various attitudes and emotional states of patients who come into the clinic for treatment. Areas such as apathy, motivation, arousal and failure to thrive will all be given consideration.
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT is an area that can benefit any clinician. Too much routine can be deadly to both the therapist and the patients. To add to the fun and efficiency of treatment, new methods of treatment, how to find them, and how to put them to use will be the focus of this seminar.
CNA TRAINING is something you might want to present to your administrator. This is a training program to teach nursing assistants about Rehab and how to best support the patient and therapist during this time of recovery. It is a commitment requiring 24 hours of class time, which usually meets the state requirements for CNA continuing education units.
In addition to seminars for therapist, Dragonfly Productions sees a need to inform the public about topics which are relevant for today's climate and which may ultimately affect a persons quality of life.

SANE RETIREMENT will include discussion on what is involved in retirement, human needs and lifestyle choices. There will be sections on why we work and the stress of not working. Also discussed will be how and why the retirement experience is different for males and females.
MEDICARE PLUS provides an in depth look at the structure of the Medicare system as well as an overview of optional Medicare programs. Choices of living environments will also be explored as options to the elderly and their loved ones.
CAREGIVER ESSENTIALS this seminar will be directed to the person(s) in a position of caring for another, either in their home or your own. The untrained caregiver is often at a loss to deal with the everyday aspect of caring for someone who cannot care for themselves.
